With summer heat hitting full stride by late June, what could be better than an evening of Texas BBQ and homemade ice cream? 6:00PM: Meet up at Vaqueros Texas BBQ 965 Garden Park Dr, Allen, TX 6:30PM Go inisde to eat 7:30PM Drive 6 miles to Henry‘s Homemade Ice Cream 3100 Independence Parkway, Plano, TX Vaqueros is a great BBQ that recently transitioned from food truck to brick and mortar. D Magazine lauded them for retaining all the flavors that made their food truck so popular. ALong with their BBQ, they sell tacos, too. Texas Monthly magazine recently placed them on their Top 50 Tacos locations in Texas! Henry‘s is a single location ice cream parlor that offers 30+ flavors of homemade ice cream and ice cream cakes. They sell primarily behind the scenes to restaurants.

We like to get the festivities started along the way. For this year’s road trip, we’ve decided to trailer our 1980, X-1/9 and stay at campgrounds. We’ll be making stops at Niagara Falls, the Henry Ford Museum, the Gilmore Museum, and the Volo Museum. Come, join us on our meet up and cruise to Bebo and Kathy‘s Cafe. We are making this an early start to avoid summer heat. 9:30AM Meet up at the Buc-ees in on IH-35 in Denton. 10:00AM: Depart for Bebo’s. Route (~28 miles, 40 minutes): Buc-ees to Loop 288 Loop 288 to Locust St/ FM 2164 Locust St/ FM 2164 to FM 455 FM 455 to US 377 US 377 to Buc-ees ~11:00AM Eat lunch at Bebos. Bebos is an automobile/dragster/Elvis-themed diner that you kind of have to see to believe.

Niagara, Ontario - Niagara drive event

Come join the DFW Chapter at the largest Italian car show in North Texas! Italian CarFest (ICF) serves as our monthly meet up for September. ******** NOTE: While it says registration is not required farther down the page, registration IS required - just not through FCA. ******** Registration is not yet open. I will provide a link when registration opens. You will need to register through the City of Grapevine. ICF is host by the City of Grapevine and the Italian Car Club of North Texas. The Fiat Club America - DFW Chapter often provides workers to help park cars as they arrive. All Italian vehicles are welcome. Ferraris and Alfa Romeos usually duke it out for having the most cars present, followed by Fiats, then a host of other Italian vehicles including Maseratis,Lancias, Lambos, DeTomasos, Autobianchis, Vespas, Ducatis, Moto Guzzis and more. Additionally, vehicles with an Italian Connection are welcome, so expect to see a stray Citroen with a Maserati engine, a Karman Ghia, and similar type vehicles. ICF is located on the historic Nash Farm in Grapevine. It serves as the kickoff event for the City of Grapevine‘s annual weeklong GrapeFest celebration. There will be food and beverage vendors on site. Along with class awards, there are Best of Show, Mayor‘s Choice, and People‘s Choice awards. In 2024, a stunning 1958 Fiat 1200 TV won Best in Show. 9:00AM Show field opens 10:00AM Show begins 2:00PM Show closes Results announced one counting votes in complete.
