2. Stellantis and Dongfeng Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding seeking to strengthen their 34 year old relationship. They are looking to create a joint venture (Stellantis controls 51/49) to distribute Dongfeng’s Voyah branded NEVS in Europe. Additionally, some Peugeot and Jeep NEV models would be produced at Dongfeng’s plant in Wuhan for global distribution. Previous partnerships have already seen 6.5 million Peugeots and Citroens produced in China.
3. Along with FaSTLAne 2030, Stellantis unveiled their new modular STLA platform (thus “FaSTLAne” they will use as a foundation for production over the next 5-10 years. The platform will be used for B, C, and D segment vehicles and can support everything from full gas to full EV power systems. It will also support 800 volt charging and LFP batteries, enhancing the competitiveness of future Stellantis EVs.
4. As part of FaSTLAne 2030, Stellantis has announced 4 core brands: FIAT, Peugeot, RAM, and Jeep. Other Stellantis brands will be considered regional or national brands. The 4 core brands will develop all the new technologies, platforms, and power trains, which will then be shared with the non-core brands.

BRAND NEWS:
Alfa Romeo:
Despite its relegation to “regional brand” by Stellantis, have no fear Alfistis: Alfa isn’t leaving the US; at least, not for a bit. With multiple new and upgraded models rolling out by 2030, it looks like Alfa has one last chance to improve its standing stateside. The new E-CUV meant to compete in the luxury SUV market will even be built right here in the US at the Stellantis plant in Detroit!
Fiat:
1. FIAT announced 2 new versions of the 500: Dolcevita Special Series and the 3+1. The Docevita is a limited edition cabrio with unique badging and trim pieces outside and unique seat fabric, badging, and enhanced electronics inside. The 3+1 features a small suicide door allowing easier access to the rear seats. The door is only on the passenger side of the 500.
2. FIAT Fun Fact: Texas currently has more FIAT dealerships than any other US state: 29
Lancia:
Lancia continued their WRC2 rally success at Rally Japan. The team of Nikolay Gryazin (driver) and Konstantin Aleksdranov (co-driver) won 10 stages enroute to their overall win. Combined with previous strong finishes in the series, their P1 at Rally Japan vaults them into the lead in both the WRC2 driver’s and co-driver’s standings.
Maserati:
FIAT, Peugeot, RAM, and Jeep were named core brands in Stellantis’ FaSTLAne 2030 business plan. Most of the remaining marques were designated regional or national brands. And then, there is Maserati. Maserati was designated Stellantis’ pure luxury brand.
The company’s future plans will be released in December 2026. We know 2 new E segment vehicles are expected, but more details on those models won’t come until the December reveal. Rumors abound December’s revelations may include a Chinese partnership.

Can you believe it is June already? For many of us, especially those of us with vintage cars, decisions on whether to take our Italian baby comes down to: How hot will it be at that time of day? Fortunately, evenings and mornings usually remain drivable. So, no matter what Italian car(s) you have, even if it is summer
GET OUT AND DRIVE!
