AGNELLI CUP STANDINGS, DAY 1

Day 1 results are in!

Here are the standings in the Agnelli Cup after the first day of racing:

Jesus Robles: 20 points

Jeriel Robles: 16 points

Daniel Evans: 12 points

Taz: 8 points

Ko: 4 points

We all finished in the same order both races. Jesus was clearly the fastest driver; however, positions farther back in the field were sometimes quite close; some with under 1 second separation.

If you missed day 1 of racing, it isn't too late to join the series! We have 2 days and 4 races to go. All trophies are still up for grabs!

Speaking of trophies, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place trophies are shown in the pics below. I don't have the placards for them yet, but they will all be ready long before we run our last race. The 1st place trophy is a cup on top of a 3 pole pedestal.

All you need to do to qualify for the remainder of our races is to Venmo Taz $15.00 (id: @Michael-Brenner-70) or give it to him in person before the next set of races on August 29nd.

NOTE: In August, due to the heat, we will hit the Dallas Karting Complex at 9:30AM so we are ready to go inside when they open at 10AM. We will probably plan a lunch stop somewhere nearby after racing.

Placards will be added soon. The 1st place trophy is a cup sitting on a pedestal held up by 3 blue poles.

The Agnelli Cup is a 3 day, 6 race, go kart series held at the Dallas Karting Complex.

Cost to participate: $15.00 fee (goes towards buying trophies)

You can join at any point during the series, however, you will not earn points towards the Cup until you pay the $15.00 fee.

SCORING:

FIRST RACE OF THE DAY:

1st - 15 points

2nd - 12

3rd - 9

4th - 6

5th - 3

SECOND RACE OF THE DAY:

1st: 5 points

2nd: 4

3rd: 3

4th: 2

5th: 1

We set the scoring this way to make the series as affordable as possible to all entrants. With this system a fast driver who can't afford 6 races will still be competitive for an award.

Dallas Karting Complex has two .75 mile long tracks and modern go karts capable of 50+ mph speeds. You can definitely spin out. Ask me how I know.

Go Kart Costs:

$30.00/race

$5 kart maintenance fee - covers all races you run day

$4 head sock fee - does not apply if you bring your own helmet. You get to keep the head sock so bring it to the other Agnelli Cup days and you won't have to pay the fee again.

RACE DATES:

Saturday, May 23rd (2 races)

Saturday, Aug 29th (2 races)

Saturday, Nov 7th (2 races)

There will most likely be non-chapter drivers in each heat. Our scores will be based solely on chapter members place relative to other chapter members. The scoring is based on FASTEST LAP during your 10 minute heat.

Trophies will be presented on Nov 7th. If you have to skip that day and still win an award, don't worry - we will get it to you!
