The FIAT 522C
The Fiat 522 was produced from 1931 to 1933, selling 7,360 copies. It was available in 3 versions. The 522C was a short wheel base version and the most popular. The 522L was a long wheel based version. The 522S was a sport edition. All 3 models featured an inline 6 cylinder 2.5L engine which produced 65HP. The 522S was the fastest of the 3, capable of a top speed of 71mph.

The 522C Torpedo Sport (Viotti) pictured below is the only known surviving vehicle of its class. Built by Italian coachbuilder Viotti, it had a rare for the day 4 speed transmission and was hailed as being easier to drive than its higher priced Mercedes Benz competitors. Discovered in England in the late 1960s, the car underwent a 20 year long restoration project by Giulio Vignale. The car is still in running condition today.
